Triiodothyronine (Free T3) RIA - 100 Determinations
The FT3 RIA/CT assay for the determination of free T3 is based on the use of labeled monoclonal antibody. A monoclonal antibody, specific for triiodothyronine, is labeled with I-125. The sample is incubated with this antibody, in a tube coated with an analog of T3 (ligand). There is a competition between the free triiodothyronine of the sample and the ligand. The amount of radioactivity bound to the tube after the incubation then is inversely proportional to the amount of free triiodothyronine in the sample. Application: Method:Radioimmunoassay (RIA) Kits Species:Human Sample Type:Human serum or plasma. SStorage:2-8°C 2 hours total clock time.
